The Long Overdue Update

Wow, it has been ages since I last made a post. So here is an update:

Production of the D:Scribe pen has run into a few hitches and I don't know if we'll see one on the market anytime soon.

I have started a design studio that will be embarking on some projects soon

I had a dream where I saw details of an unsolved murder mystery from the 1950s in Sydney but not enough details... yet.

I have also started a collaborative design project to get designers (graphic/industrial etc), artists and everyone else to let inspiration bounce off each other. The website has been bought but will be released soon.

Oh and Ps. In case you were wondering what that weird post below was about, I was promised a free digital photo frame but it was never delivered.

Ways to share the love...

What do you do with your photos after amassing a collection of over 100,000 photos? Sometimes I take over 100 shots in a day, and unfortunately some good shots almost never see the light of day again, buried somewhere in my hard drive forever.

One option is to print them out, but these days it's really hard to choose which ones to print out. Photo albums are so 90s.

Another option is to create a photo book. Macs have iPhoto which has an inbuilt feature that lets you create hardcover photo books, which is a brilliant idea. Unfortunately I was not too impressed with the print quality, where colours came out really flat and washed out.

A friend found Blurb which also creates custom books for you, and at really good prices, had amazing print quality! This is available to both Mac and PC users. Download their software here.

I am looking to create a book soon.

Finally, the Digital Frame allows you to view your images without having to switch on your computer. It's been around for a while, but has not achieved common-household-item status yet. Watch this space, though. It's a pretty handy gift idea that can include way more photos than a typical photo album, just limited by the size of your memory card!

Finally...One new post!

It's been a while indeed... I didn't realise that, and all my recent posts are about the D:Scribe...which hopefully we'll see in production in a few months!

Enough about that... it's time to start blogging again. Here's a picture of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, from a different (and better) perspective.

D:Scribe interview on Cnet...

Here's my awkward interview with Cnet... I was so nervous cos I had 2 cameras pointing at me and I didn't know which one was on!
